Who can use the labs?

Anyone with a Nexus account (regardless of faculty), can use these computers.

When are the labs open?

All labs (except PAS 1237 and ECH 1205) are open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, except during Christmas holidays. PAS 1237 is open Monday - Friday, 8:30am-4:30pm (unless previously booked). ECH 1205 is open only for classes booked in the room.

Can the labs be booked?

The Language Lab, PAS1237 and ECH 1205 can sometimes be booked. Please see the Facilities main page for more information.

What is available in each of the labs?

All computers are on the Waterloo Nexus, Windows 7, 100BaseT network.

These computers have limited software offerings, and can be used to access basic internet-related functions.

ECH 1205

The design lab in ECH 1205 features digital design software

 

Can the labs be booked?

The language lab machines in ML109,113 that run Nexus are only available for booking by Language Instructors. View Schedules for booking availability.

The \\nxsartsapp\q_arts print server is routed to all Arts Nexus accounts. Jobs sent to this server (when you choose to print a file using your lab computer) can be released to a printer using a release monitor in either PAS1099 or HH236.
