Email with myWaterloo

 

    1. How do I activate my Email Account?

    2. Where do I go to check my Email?

  • To check your University of Waterloo email from any computer, go to myWaterloo.
  • Students select Mailservices from the server drop down. (The Artsmail server is gone)
  • Students use your WatIam userID (your Quest userid) and either of your Nexus or WatIam passwords

    3. I've graduated and can't log in?

  • Four months after graduation, accounts are subject to deletion at any time.
  • If you require any of the information from your account, you can contact Keith McGowan directly to obtain it. His email is kmcgowan@uwaterloo.ca
  • Additionally, the Alumni Office offers a userid@alumni.uwaterloo.ca alias which forwards to any existing email account you have (eg. hotmail or gmail) when you register with their e-community. More information is available at http://alumni.uwaterloo.ca/alumni/ecomm/ecomm.htm

Wireless Internet on Campus

 

    1. Which network do I connect to?

  • Select Eduroam to have a secure connection.
  • If you don't have a userid, select UW wireless which will be un-secure.

    2. How do I connect to Eduroam?

  • Authenticate with userID@uwaterloo.ca ("@uwaterloo.ca" is important because you can connect from different universities)
  • Use your Quest/ WatIAm password.

Printing in HH 236 and PAS 1099

 

    1. How do I activate my printing account and add funds?

  • This entire process is now done online (the card readers no longer works at these locations).
  • Navigate to xas.uwaterloo.ca and log in using you Quest/ WatIAm information.
  • Click the My Watcard tab and transfer money from your flex dollars on your Watcard. (This will automatically create the account)

  • When your print, select \\nxsartsapp\q_arts.
  • Visit either HH236 or PAS 1099 (which ever room you want to print from).
  • Use the release monitor to select your name, click print, and click submit.
  • If it says "No Such UserID", go back to "1. How do I activate my printing account and add funds?"
  • Please be patient as the printer warms up.  Call the ACO help desk (ex. 33190) if nothing comes out after awhile.
